The Beginning—April 21, 2008

It's about time! I'm back again.

The big news? My office or haven is now in a usable condition and I have been using it to work on my Bible study and on my writing.

I will post a picture soon but I just haven't done it yet. The only thing yet missing is the shelving. I am guessing that $40-50 will cover this final cost and complete the office.

I like it and it does what I want it to and it really has helped me focus more. I believe this is because it's MY space. I don't have to clean up for supper or when I go to bed, I can stay spread out and begin the next day where I left off the night before.

My intended goal is to keep a running log of the story I am working on.

What I have so far are three characters, two are friends and one is a thief.

The two friends have a need to get to the main keep of the land and the thief has stolen a valuable artifact from the keep and is heading in the wrong direction.

These three meet up for some wild and unexpected adventures that ultimately determine the survival of the people of this realm.

I realize this is very sketchy but it is in the very early stages of development and, in fact, I do not even have names for the characters yet. I do have a map though: The hallmark of any good novel! J The map does not make the novel but it adds an incredibly import dimension to the work. Just as when you're studying God's word it is nice to see the area on the maps that are usually provided at the end of the book, it is nice to be able to pinpoint where the characters are at any given moment in the plotline.

Well, it's not much but it is a start and I am excited about it and I will keep you posted. Unless I am making fantastic progress on a daily basis I will probably limit this update to two or three times a week just so you won't get too bored. Plus if I give away too much you won't need to buy the book once it's published! Now that's positive thinking! LOL!

Well, sail on in the Lord's grace, doing His work with your whole heart!

Bye!
